We are excited to share with you that Humber’s Panopto Platform has just been upgraded to its latest release (7.0). We’ve highlighted some exciting and relevant features for you – which are now available for you to use.
What’s New
- New Mobile Video Player
Panopto’s redesigned mobile video player enhances support for learners who are on-the-go. Learners may now, from their phone: navigate the video’s table of contents, search within a video, take notes, partake in discussion, and rate the video. - Fill-in-the-blanks Quizzes (and more)
Creators now have the ability to add a “fill in the blank” type of question within their video quizzes. Creators can also see combined results from all quizzes within a single video. - Download Notes & Discussion Threads
Students can now export a copy of their notes, along with the time they took them within the video. Creators now have the ability to export the discussion thread within their video. - Improved Mashup Tool within Blackboard
The Panopto Mashup tool within Blackboard just got better. Creators can now search across all videos within the Mashup tool – which means – less time scrolling, more time embedding! - Video Completion Stats per User
Within analytics, Creators can now see (on a per-viewer basis), how much percent of the video their viewers have watched. - Panopto for Mac Improvements
Beta Feature: The Panopto for Mac recording tool now captures your computer’s audio (in addition to your video and voice).

Training:
If you haven’t yet signed up for a workshop, keep an eye out on the Communiqué – we will be scheduling a new round of workshops throughout Fall 2019. Individualized training is available to all faculty and employees over the summer.
